Joy comes in the Morning.

Today ends the ten day challenge to write a daily poem of a specified type and on a given topic. It was indeed challenging, but it also opened up a door for untapped creativity to be mustered. Today’s challenge was to write a sonnet about the future. I barely made it before the end of day.

Most-beautiful-and-rare-found-flowers

Tomorrow, dawn ‘ll awaken

silenced duty.

Morning ‘ll peel the darkened

sky; reveal beauty.

Tomorrow, pain ‘ll be shrouded

by the mystery

of hope; impounded

into history.

Joy unfolds tomorrow;

demands flight

of yesterday. Sorrow

disappears and light

ushers in a new

day for me and you.
