Pleasures

Today’s challenge was to write about pleasure, while using repetition of word/s at the beginning and end of lines/ verses.

I like cloudy days and moonless nights

Sitting in a room’s dimmed lights.

I like whispers under a darkened sky

But I really don’t know why

I like the roller-coaster and merry-go-round

Rising, then plunging to the ground.

I like rides that often make me cry,

But I really don’t know why.

I like golden bands and diamond rings

Sapphire stones and pink pearl strings.

I like costly array, I can’t deny

But I really don’t know why.
