Winter escapade

This is a fictional poem as I reside in a tropical country. The experience is only vicarious.

Like birds in winter plight

I flee cold Canada

To disembark in Florida

Where December’s sunrise

Is as midsummer’s skies

And temperature’s high

As some days in July.

Where sea waters roar

Like the snore

Of a sleeping bear

In a lair.

Then, when warm days come

To my Canada home,

Like  a bald eagle flown

I return.
